The best destinations for an All Inclusive holiday in the Caribbean

The “All Inclusive” board consists of paying a determined amount of money in exchange for a complete regime in which all hotel services are included: accommodation, meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), open bar and other services such as childcare.

All-inclusive deals in the Caribbean are a great option. In fact, it is one of the places where it is recommended. Whichever destination you choose, you should opt for these deals because of their unbeatable services and good prices.

The truth is that there are so many possibilities that sometimes it is difficult to decide. It all depends on what you want to do, whether it’s diving, having fun with your family, opting for a smaller, quieter island, etcetera.

Here we are going to make some recommendations so that you can get an idea of the most popular Caribbean destinations. In each of them you will find all-inclusive packages that will surely convince you. Take into account their main attractions and make the best decision.

Riviera Maya

This is an extension of the Caribbean coast. It stands out for its crystal clear waters and the Mayan constructions you’ll find on the Yucatan Peninsula in northwest Mexico. A holiday in the Riviera Maya is unparalleled. Here you can visit the cultural legacy left to us by the Mayans, among which stand out: Tulum, the Pyramid of Kukulkan or Chichen Itza, the legendary city considered one of the seven wonders of the world.

If you want to break away from routine once and for all, this trip is a great choice. You can explore it alone, with family or friends, and you will always have time to relax and have fun. It’s a spectacular destination for new experiences and to leave with renewed strength.

One of the things you can’t miss on your list is to visit the cenotes of the Riviera Maya. We are talking about the formation of underground rivers that are connected to the surface, and which are perfect to enjoy unique activities such as diving or snorkelling. It is also possible to stroll around and take advantage of the galleries, shops, restaurants and bars of Playa del Carmen‘s Quinta Avenida, the nerve centre for travellers from all over the world.

Punta Cana

Punta Cana is another tourist area full of beautiful beaches and luxury hotels where it is possible to taste the gastronomic specialties of the area and enjoy the best shows and entertainment at sunset.

The holidays in Punta Cana that we offer at Travel2Holidays have a very complete programme of games and entertainment. You can access all-inclusive deals in the best hotels and make the most of your stay in the best way, thanks to the activities organised by top professionals: water aerobics, gymnastics, bachata, merengue and salsa lessons, among other proposals.

One of the excursions we recommend from here is a visit to Saona Island. In this fantastic place you will find virgin beaches full of coconut trees, where numerous species coexist.

When it comes to enjoying the classic Caribbean landscape, be sure to visit it and you will be in continuous contact with nature.

Cuba

Cuba has many attractions. It is the largest island in the Caribbean and you’ll find a bit of everything: culture, gastronomy, history, customs and a rich architectural heritage. Salsa, rumba and boleros are the music you will often hear. Cuba is also known for its famous rum, which can be drunk neat or mixed with other ingredients in cocktails. Holidays in Cuba are a lot of fun. Just wandering the streets and looking at the colonial buildings is worth the effort. However, we recommend that you take a guided tour of Havana and sunbathe on the world-famous beaches of Guillermo, Cayo Coco, Santa María and Varadero. You can also take a catamaran trip, snorkel in crystal-clear waters, enjoy the natural pools and waterfalls of El Nicho or visit Santiago de Cuba.

Cancun

Cancun is one of the favourite destinations for tourists when it comes to a holiday in the Caribbean. It has an impressive hotel infrastructure, which can adapt to all kinds of budgets, although at Travel2Holidays we have different Cancun offers for you to choose the one that best suits you.

The turquoise-coloured sea leaves everyone open-mouthed. Without a doubt, it is the perfect place to do all kinds of water activities, whether diving, kayaking, snorkelling, kitesurfing, jet skiing or skydiving, of course it is also possible to relax and enjoy the sea, the sun and the sand.

Given the busy lives we lead today, it is logical that there is hardly any time left to plan such a trip. However, with Travel2Holidays you won’t have to worry about anything. All you have to do is choose Cancun as your holiday destination and the offer you are most interested in.

Cancun is a very special place that has many attractions to suit the tastes of every traveller. Many visitors prefer the tranquillity of the day, while others opt for night-time entertainment. It is a paradisiacal destination that offers many leisure possibilities in the form of bars, restaurants and places to listen to music and dance.

In fact, in high season there are themed parties with internationally renowned DJs. Of course, it’s not just for adults. There are also ecological parks such as Xel-Ha and Xcaret, and many of the hotels organise activities especially for children.

The best dates for a Caribbean holiday

When deciding the best time for holiday in the Caribbean, you should pay attention to two very important factors: climate and price. The tropical climate is around 82ºF all year round. However, there is a high and low season, which is key for many people when it comes to travelling.

  •  High season in the Caribbean starts in December and ends in May. During these months, temperatures make the Caribbean the perfect place to enjoy a great, sunny holiday. However, in high season, prices go up. Even during holiday periods such as Christmas, prices tend to double. If we go by weather alone, this would be the best time to travel to this exceptional place. However, it is not the best time if we consider the high demand of tourists and the prices.

  • The low season in the Caribbean is from August to November. Many travellers choose to take advantage of this time, mainly to take advantage of the best prices and offers that can be available at any time to fill the planes. However, the main problem we encounter is related to hurricanes. In fact, September is the month with the highest risk of hurricanes.

So what is the best time to spend a few days in the Caribbean? It’s really up to you. December to May is a good option because the heat is not as intense and aggressive, and because it’s outside the cyclone season.

However, the cheapest trips to the Caribbean are in the off-season. It’s true that there is more chance of rain, but in the Caribbean it doesn’t last too long and you can always enjoy the hotel facilities until the Caribbean sun comes out again.

Once you’ve made your decision, remember to take certain precautions so that the sun doesn’t damage or burn your skin. Firstly, it is advisable not to spend too many hours in the sun and to use a high protection sunscreen.

The Caribbean sun is much stronger than we are used to and will burn you in less time. In fact, 7 o’clock in the morning is like 12 o’clock in Spain. Be that as it may, from 11 o’clock onwards, the risk of sunburn increases, so it is important not to expose yourself too much.

Another piece of advice is to drink bottled water in large quantities. This will help you avoid stomach illnesses and keep you well hydrated throughout the day. The Caribbean climate increases perspiration and it is key to avoid dehydration.

These are simple recommendations that will not cost you much to follow. In return, you will be free to enjoy its natural wealth, pleasant climate, delicious recipes and sensual rhythm. The Caribbean will undoubtedly thrill you to the point of becoming one of your favourite holiday destinations.
