How to get to Disneyland Paris?

So you’ve successfully arrived in Paris after booking the best combination of flights at your preferred time and price using our booking engine and landed at one of the two airports. Now what? Take the Magic Shuttle bus straight to the park from both airports or if you’re arriving from the city of Paris, the most convenient option is the RER train, opt for the red line. Buying your ticket is straightforward, and it’s quick and easy to get there.

If you plan to go directly to Disneyland Paris from the airport, we recommend including the Magic Shuttle when you’ve booked your Flight+Hotel, Hotel, or official Disney package through our agents or website. This choice brings you straight to the heart of the magic, taking approximately 60 minutes from Charles de Gaulle and Orly. The service is also adaptable for associated hotels; you’ll only need to transfer buses when you get there. Alternatively, you can choose to arrange a private transfer through our website, where a driver will be ready to pick you up on arrival and take you to your accommodation.

If you’re traveling to Disneyland Paris in your car or with a rental car, keep in mind that you will need to pay for parking at the park. However, if you stay at any of the Disney or associated hotels, parking is free. For day visitors, parking is approximately €30 per day.

There are various ticket options for Disneyland Paris, each with different formats and durations. For instance, there’s the 1-day ticket with a specified date–perfect if you already know when you want to visit. On the other hand, the flexible 1-day entry has no specified date and gives you a year to decide when you choose to use it. If you’re looking for even more magic, the flexible multi-day entry ticket is ideal. You can choose between 2,3, or 4 days of entry to both parks, with more days providing a more discounted rate on entry.

If you book our hotel package in Disneyland Paris, you’ll get numerous advantages. For example, if you’ve chosen one of the official Disney hotels, you’ll enjoy unlimited access to Disney parks from early morning until late at night. The Extra Magic Time feature allows you to greet Disney characters at your hotel and access the parks before they open to the general public–an exclusive perk they’ll inform you about on arrival. Staying within the park, in the heart of the magic is truly ideal for the most complete Disneyland Paris experience with all of the benefits.

When is the best time to visit Disneyland Paris?

When booking your visit to Disneyland Paris, it’s best to plan your trip outside of school holiday periods. If you’re planning to visit during winter, note that temperatures can get very low so it’s recommended that you dress warmly during your Disneyland stay. The best months for booking your Disney holiday are in May, mid-September to late September, and October. If you wish to combine your visit with more travel around Paris, these months are also the best times to visit the French capital.

Other tips for visiting Disneyland Paris

To secure the best price for your trip to Disneyland Paris, we recommend booking several months in advance to make the most out of all available offers. Here are some of our other top tips

If you’re considering booking the Flight+Hotel package within the Park+Transfers deal, which includes tickets for both parks, the best deals often arise during promotional events that happen twice per year. One event to note is the Magical Week, which offers promotions such as 3 nights for the price of 2, 4 for 3, or 5 for 4, complimentary children’s accommodation and transportation, along with discounts on meal plans like half board or full board. Additionally, there may be other promotions throughout the year that offer discounts of up to 35% off on your package.

If you prefer to organise your trip independently, it’s important to note that unlimited access to both parks is only available if you’ve booked a Disney hotel through our official channel. Alternatively, if you’ve booked a hotel through our search engine at associated or nearby hotels, you’ll need to purchase tickets separately. Depending on the duration of your stay, this option might be the most cost-effective.

Make sure you compare the official package on our website with the Flight+Hotel option on our search engine. This approach allows you to have a real-time perspective and choose the best option for your stay at Disneyland Paris.

How many days you need to visit Disneyland Paris depends on a few different factors but we recommend staying at least 3 days with 2 nights of accommodation to enjoy both parks and their related activities to the fullest. With only one day you may find it challenging to experience the main activities of both parks.

What to see and do in Disneyland Paris?

A girl with a child in an old carriage on Palace Square in St. Petersburg.

3, 2, 1… You’ve risen early to seize the day and the magical doors are open. If you’re only visiting for one day, Disneyland Park may be your best option as it’s the most versatile and offers the highest number of attractions suitable for children and people of all ages. Walt Disney Studios, on the other hand, features main shows and attractions that are more geared towards adults.

Make sure to grab a park map at the entrance and organise your visit by zones. Locate your favourite attractions and take note of the restaurants, bathrooms, and other park services that you’ll likely need during your visit.

Disneyland Park is divided into 5 themed areas: Frontierland, Adventureland, Fantasyland, Discoverland, and Main Street USA, so you’ll want to make sure that you organise your visit well to avoid unnecessary backtracking. Another tip upon arrival is to have the official APP download. With free Wi-Fi available throughout the park, you can use the app to check wait times for main attractions and opt for those with shorter queues. The app is also handy for accessing show schedules and real-time locations.

At Disneyland Paris, there are so many activities happening at all times, including shows, concerts, and parades. To ensure a good view of a specific event you’d like to see, you’ll want to arrive around 15 minutes earlier to secure a prime spot.

To take a photo with your favourite character, you can track when and where they’ll be throughout the day. Check their schedules and visiting areas in advance to make sure you don’t miss out!

If you want to skip waiting in line for each attraction, just use the standard FastPass included in your ticket. Just insert your park access ticket into the FastPass machine at the entrance of each attraction to receive a ticket from the machine specifying the time you need to return. This allows you to continue enjoying other attractions while you wait. When your designated time comes, enter through the FastPass area and you’ll be on the ride in just a few minutes.

If you want even faster and more flexible access to attractions, consider purchasing the Super FastPass or the Ultimate. The Super FastPass provides you with access to 3 family attractions (Ratatouille, Peter Pan, and Buzz Lightyear’s Laser Blast) and 3 other attractions (Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain, Aerosmith, and Tower of Terror). The Ultimate offers two choices: a one-time no-queue entry to all attractions that allow Fastpass or the Unlimited Ultimate, which provides unlimited access to all qualifying attractions. Prices vary depending on the season, so make sure to check these for your travel dates.

After enjoying the morning’s attractions, take a break for lunch and snacks throughout the park. Treat yourself to an ice cream in Main Street USA, explore Disney Village, and visit its delightful official Disney stores. Don’t forget to collect your PhotoPass, which captures all of the photos from each attraction, and with the Disney characters of your choice. Download these memories in HD at home by scanning a QR code at the exit of the attractions.

And of course, you can’t miss what’s sure to be a highlight of the day—Disney Stars on Parade. Make sure to arrive at least 20 minutes before the parade starts to secure a good view; you’ll see spectacular floats, characters that greet you, streets filled with people, and the whole of Disneyland illuminated with lights; truly a sight to remember. Finally, as the day concludes, watch as the Sleeping Beauty Castle transforms into a unique spectacle with special effects, flames, lights, and fireworks to close a truly special night.

Visit Paris from Disneyland

If you’re staying at Disneyland Paris or its vicinity during your holiday and you have a couple of days to explore other destinations in the area, a trip to the city of Paris is a great option.

We recommend that you wake up early and start your journey from the Disneyland RER station no later than 10 am. Using the red line, you’ll arrive in the heart of Paris in approximately 40 minutes; take note of this for your return trip. This line takes you to the Gare de Lyon station, which is an excellent starting point to explore the centre of Paris.

Some of the must-see attractions in Paris for a day trip include the Eiffel Tower, the Champs de Mars, the Louvre Museum (even if only from the outside), the Arc de Triomphe with its Champs-Élysées, the Opera neighborhood, Trocadero, and Les Invalides.

Keep in mind that the ticket you bought at the Disneyland Paris RER station allows you to use all public transportation in the city of Paris, making it convenient to move between different attractions.

Another option if you get tired during the day is to take a boat ride on the Seine River, which provides you with a unique perspective of the main monuments, and you can even enhance the experience with dinner onboard.

You can also hop on a tourist bus, which takes you to all of the major attractions of the city with the flexibility to get on and off as many times as you like, allowing you to easily explore Paris from one end to another without getting lost. Check out our Tours/Tickets section for the best tours and excursions in and around Paris.
